Welcome!

Whatever leg of life’s adventure you find yourself on, I want to welcome you here. Congratulations on for having made it this far!

My greatest adventure has been as the mother of my four children. Parenting may not be the “final” frontier, but it is certainly the most bewildering, challenging, magnificent and rewarding expedition I’ve ever taken. It has required more courage and perseverance than I ever thought I had. Not a task for the faint of heart.

I will never forget holding my child for the first time, I was completely humbled by this new life so completely dependent on me. I was astonished I could be so clueless—and yet still responsible for someone so helpless. I was challenged daily by the obstacles of mountains of dirty diapers, endless treks through sleepless nights, and the howling wilderness of a crying baby.

In desperation, I sought parenting wisdom from all directions: watching other moms and dads, asking advice, reading books and taking classes. But most of the time I still felt hopelessly and completely LOST.

As it turns out, lost was the very best place to be, because that is where I found God. I began following God through the parenting adventure, That is how I finally discovered:

  • God is the perfect guide.
  • God’s Word is the ideal map.
  • I can trust God completely with my children.
  • I can trust God through all of life’s adventures.

God promises us that He will guide us along the best pathways for our lives, and will advise us and watch over us ( Psalm 32:8, NLT). I hope you will continue join me as together we see how God is the “Ultimate Navigator,” and that, no matter where we go, His Word will always remain our “magnetic north.”

God, teach me lessons for living so I can stay the course. Give me insight so I can do what you tell me— my whole life one long, obedient response. Guide me down the road of your commandments; I love traveling this freeway! –Psalm 119:33-35, The Message
